Jenny received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from California State University, Los Angeles. Jenny is a certified ophthalmic technician (COT) and certified brain injury specialist (CBIS). In the past, Jenny worked as a clinical project coordinator with the Corneal- Refractive Team at the University of Southern California , Doheny Eye Institute. As Project Coordinator she worked under Dr. Peter Mc Donnell participating with various FDA studies and the co-author of a number of scientific papers, in Ophthalmologic Journals.
Currently, Jenny manages Family Vision Care Optometry, Inc and Family Vision Care Optometry Neuro Vision Rehabilitation. Jenny has been working as a neuro vision therapist in the area of neuro vision rehabilitation for over 16 years with Dr. Garbus at Family Vision Care Optometry Neuro Vision Rehabilitation. As a neuro vision therapist, Jenny encompasses a wide range of therapies which includes working with children in the areas of learning related problems and traumatic brain/stroke injury patients.
Jenny is the current NORA Conference Chair ans is on the Advisory Council with Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation Association, she also is active on committees with the Vision Therapist Professional Forum
Jenny enjoys spending time and teaching her new grand daughter Jade Lilly. Also working out in yoga and taking long walks/hikes.
Thelma has been with Family Vision Care for over 15 years. She is multitalented, senior account insurance billing specialist, optometric assistant for back office patient testing, a frame stylist/dispenser and as a Vision Therapist. As a vision therapist her expertise is working with children with vision related learning problems as well as our special needs kids. Thelma enjoys hiking, biking, and working out at the gym. She is famous for her scrapbook designs and spends the weekends with her children and husband
Micah has been a member of the Family Vision Care team for over a decade. This practice has helped her become the person she is today. She has earned her degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. Micah is here to help you find and style your favorite pair of glasses. It is her mission to keep you on trend and fashion forward because great vision is the best accessory. Micah is also here to help schedule appointments while assisting with any of your billing needs. She is currently training to be our newest vision therapist.
Kyle has been a part of the Family Vision Care team since high school. He has many different roles at the office. His duties range from scheduling appointments to updating this website. Currently, he juggles working here at Family Vision Care while attending CSULB, where he is studying Film.
